Kerrie Lander is a Blue Mountains artist, whose love of botanical art initially grew out of photography. Kerrie finds inspiration in the beauty of the mountains, its rocks, plants and wildlife. Having grown up in rural NSW, she has always appreciated the natural environment.

Through her background in maths, Kerrie enjoys discovering patterns, rhythm and geometry in the world around her. She is intrigued by the way mathematical relationships such as the Golden Ration and Pi can be found in nature.

Kerrie enjoys the exacting process of botanical art but also explores abstract and stylised images. Using a range of mediums, she seeks to express both movement and stillness through art.
