Her tutorial page can be found at: https://cheryl-hodges-art.teachable.com/courses Introduction to Botanical Art – Eucalyptus Leaves An online tutorial for beginners to botanical art. I've been teaching for several years and I know that students often have problems painting leaves, and there is also a lot of interest in Eucalyptus leaves. So I decided to work this tutorial around our beautiful Eucalyptus leaves and the watercolour techniques which can be applied to them. The tutorial is aimed at beginners but artists with some experience will also gain knowledge of my techniques. Follow the link below to take a look at preview videos and sign up for the tutorial. https://cheryl-hodges-art.teachable.com/p/introduction-to-botanical-watercolours Introduction to Botanical Art – Golden Wattle (Acacia pycnantha) Through my teaching I've learnt the problems that you might come up against when you first start out with watercolour. I will walk you through the whole process from beginning to end. We will start with some sketch or study pages, looking at each element of the Golden Wattle in detail, and drawing and painting individual elements. We’ll cover basic equipment required, setting up specimen, sketching, tonal study, transferring image to watercolour paper, and then we move on to painting a large specimen in watercolour. We'll go through the techniques of wet in wet, then building up the colours and textures in layers and then using dry brush to add those final details at the end. https://cheryl-hodges-art.teachable.com/p/introduction-to-botanical-art-wattle Painting red Eucalyptus flowers This is a free short tutorial, where I'll be painting beautiful red/pink Eucalyptus flowers (from the Eucalyptus leucoxylon) and explaining my process. Observing, drawing, then painting, going through all the stages to the final details. https://cheryl-hodges-art.teachable.com/p/painting-eucalyptus-flowers Enquiries to Cheryl through contact page at: www.cherylhodges.com Helena Karnolz-LangdonBotanical art classes via Zoom or Face Time.
