Pam Surman |
Pam lives and works from home in northern Sydney. She worked as a horticulturalist for 25 years and has always been fascinated by the form and structure of plants. After watching Susannah Blaxill demonstrate her painting method as artist in residence at the State Library she was hooked on botanical art and in 2012 started classes with Barbara Goldin, following this up by attending intensive workshops with Susannah Blaxill and Barbara Duckworth. Since 2017 Pam has continued her learning experience with a group of botanical artists who meet regularly at Henley in Sydney. Pam has sold botanic works at the Royal Botanic Gardens ‘Botanica Exhibition’ and at the Botanical Art Society of Australia’s exhibitions. |
