Vicki Lee Johnston

Vicki Lee Johnston is a botanical and natural history artist working in graphite and watercolour from her studio in the hills of Perth, Western Australia.

After a busy career in the media, Vicki  pursued her passion for nature and botanical art by attending workshops with Jenny Phillips and Susannah Blaxill, which served to further her enthusiasm and commitment to this beautiful art form.

Vicki Lee commenced a three year course with the Society of Botanical Artists (UK), receiving a Diploma with Distinction in 2013.

Vicki was honoured with recognition as an emerging artist and invited to participate in an exhibition showcasing new artists in her home town of Perth.

Her watercolour botanical artworks were also displayed in London at the Annual Society of Botanical Art (UK) Exhibits in 2012 and 2013.

The Botanical Art and Natural History Exhibition “Framing Nature” was held in Western Australia featuring ten of Vicki’s artworks.

In 2015 her work was exhibited at  the Watercolour Society of Western Astralia’s Annual Awards Exhibition.

Vicki is a Member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia, the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Watercolour Society of WA.

In 2017 Vicki Lee’s work will be exhibited at the Zig Zag Gallery in Western Australia and a unique exhibition showcasing artworks from around the world at the gallery Quirky Fox in Taranaki, New Zealand.
