Sandra Cumming

After many years of trying various types of art, drawing, painting, printmaking and then book and papermaking, which resulted in having an artwork published in an international magazine, Sandra then reverted to painting once again and finally found that which she loved the most, painting small “portraits” of birds and animals and flowers. These are usually native to Australia and more often Tasmania. Botanical art has now been added to the mix using coloured pencil.

Joining the Miniature Art Society of Tasmania some twelve years ago, has led to some interesting time. Sandra has been awarded six prizes: five national and one international. Her artwork is in private collections in England, Florida USA, Canada, and Australia.

More recently Sandra has exhibited in the Botanical Art Society of Australia’s annual exhibitions and had a painting selected for the World-wide Botanical Art exhibition in 2018.
